1912 Capital was founded by seasoned real estate investors Damon Cuzick and Court Koshar to address a clear need in the real estate investment ecosystem.

With over 50 years of combined experience as investors, lenders, developers, and syndicators, we recognized a gap in the marketplace for a private lending firm that truly understands real estate from the inside out — one that can deliver appropriate, structured capital to borrowers while offering secure, passive opportunities to investors. From that vision, 1912 Capital was born.

We provide first-position loans to experienced real estate investors operating primarily in the residential fix-and-flip and buy-and-hold space. Because of our hands-on investing background, we can quickly evaluate properties and often issue loan decisions within 24 hours. Our borrowers value our speed, clarity, and reliability.
